Malfunction Symptoms and Countermeasures of Popularized Jaw Crusher

Jaw crusher is widly used in stone crushing process. A jaw crusher consists of a set of vertical jaws, one jaw being fixed and the other being moved back and forth relative to it by a cam or pitman mechanism. The movement of the jaw can be quite small, since complete crushing is not performed in one stroke. The inertia required to crush the material is provided by a weighted flywheel that moves a shaft creating an eccentric motion that causes the closing of the gap. It is common that when the jaw crusher works there happen to a malfunction, so we have to hold some common knowledge of the malfunction of it and then we mend it to make the jaw crusher rework normally and timely.

Next, several symptoms and corresponding remedy ways are listed.

Symptom 1: the host sheave and moving jaw functioning normally, but broken cease work.

Reasons:

1)tension spring break;

2)rod fracture;

3)off or broken of the bracket

Remedy:

1)replace tension spring;

2)replace the rod;

3)to re-install or replace the bracket.

Symptom 2: The local host suddenly broken down (commonly known as: nausea vehicles).

Reasons:

1) discharge port plug, resulting in blocking material filled;

2) Turn the triangular drive sheave belt too loose, causing belt slippage;

3) eccentric shaft adapter bushing loose, causing the bearing in both sides of the rack without gaps, so that the eccentric shaft stuck and can not rotate;

4) Work area voltage is too low, the host encounter aniseed, the inability to fragmentation;

5) Jaw crusher bearing damage.

Remedy:

1) removal of the blockage of discharge opening, to ensure that the material flow;

2) V-belt tightening or replacement;

3) to re-install or replace the adapter sleeve;

4) adjusting the voltage is the workplace, to conform to the requirements of the host operating voltage;

5) the replacement of bearings.

Symptom 3:stunned crusher spring break.

Reason:emphasis on small jaw crusher discharge opening with the spring tention.

Remedy:Replace the spring.

Symptom 4:there is beating and crash sound in the process of moving or fixing the jaw plate .

Reasons:

1)fastening bolts of jaw Crusher’s jaw plate loose or falling;

2)jaw Crusher’s discharge opening is too small lead the bottom two jaw plates hit each other.

Remedy:

1)fixed or installed for tight bolts;

2)align the nesting population to ensure that the correct gap between two jaw plate.

Symptom 5: Adjust the seat off.

Reasons:

1) elbow board, elbow board pad their own procurement or restructuring, does not meet the design requirements of OEMs;

2) Adjust the seat mounting bolts loose;

3) Adjust the seat has serious casting defects or welding defects.

Remedy:

1) the replacement of the assembly to adjust seat and replace the original OEM bracket, brackets, pads;

2) the replacement of seat adjustments and adjust the seat fastening bolts;

3) the replacement of seat adjustment.
